Heala emerges winner of ABCHealth Xcelerator at World Health Expo Lagos 2025

We’re excited to share that Heala emerged as the winner of the ABCHealth Xcelerator Pitch Program at the World Health Expo (WHX) Lagos 2025 Digital Health and AI Conference, held on the 4th of June, 2025, at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Our CEO, Ofuzim Anderson Oriahi, presented the pitch at the event, representing Heala among a strong lineup of innovative startups tackling some of Africa’s most pressing health challenges.

The ABCHealth Xcelerator Pitch Program is designed to identify and support high-potential digital health startups that are addressing critical health challenges in Africa. By providing visibility, mentorship, and access to resources, the program aims to accelerate the scale of these solutions and promote partnerships that can drive meaningful transformation in health systems across the continent.

Winning this pitch is a big moment for us. But more than that, it reflects the ongoing work being done at Heala to support the health sector with meaningful & scalable solutions. While our day-to-day focus is on building and improving our product, participating in programs like this gives us the chance to tell our story, and connect with others who share a similar vision for the future of healthcare in Africa.

This win comes with opportunities to support our growth — from seed funding for the next stage of our work, to mentorship from healthcare experts, increased visibility among key decision-makers, and capacity-building tools to strengthen our core

Heala will also be representing Africa at World Health Expo  Dubai. This opportunity opens up a broader space for impact, partnership, and learning. It’s a chance to share how Heala is transforming Africa’s Healthcare sector and engage with global perspectives on digital health and innovation.

We’re grateful to ABCHealth and World Health Expo Lagos for organising a platform that supports health innovation and provides meaningful opportunities to grow and scale. This is a proud moment for the entire team at Heala, and we’re looking forward to the journey ahead.

Heala helps over 200,000 Nigerians access affordable remote healthcare through virtual doctor consultations, remote testing, and doorstep medication delivery- building a seamless ecosystem across hospitals, HMOs, corporate organisations, and communities.
